Statement |
The
Force Soccer Club is resolved to provide its members an unequaled Soccer
program that identifies, and develops soccer-enthusiasts, so that they
become self-confident, skillful, and tactically knowledgeable players.
We recognize and are in full accord with the ideal that a player that respects
themselves, the game, and all who they come into contact with, will ultimately
excel on and off of the field.
Headquartered in the City
of Cupertino, the Force reaches out to the surrounding Bay Area and beyond.
Any group of people or individual that embraces our commitment to excellence,
and our drive to achieve the extraordinary can realize success by exposure
to professional coaching, elite competition, and a well-organized administrative
body.
The Force Soccer Club further
supports sportsmanship through its affiliation with the Positive
Coaching Alliance, the pursuit of competitive play to a player’s highest
level of competition, and that the Force environment always be instructional,
affirming, and positive. Integrity is the hallmark of the Force Soccer
Club, as it undertakes the goal of passing on to its players/community,
the opportunity to realize their potential as persons and players, and
the responsibility to take ownership of the “love of the game” for the
next generation.

| History
and Growth of the Force Soccer Club |
|
| In 1999, our
first year, we started with two U15 teams; '84 Force Blue and '84 Black
girls teams. The Force '84 Blue lost in penalty kicks in the State Cup
semi-finals.
The following year, we added
two boys U10 teams (Force '90 blue and black), for a total of four teams.
The Force '84 Blue team, again lost in penalty kicks in the Semi-Finals
of the U16 State Cup, and also finished second in the San Diego Surf Cup.
The Force Blue, boys U10 team, won the "unofficial" U10 State Cup, held
in Santa Rosa.
In 2001-2 we added eight
new teams, spanning U9 to U12 levels for boys and girls, and two U17 girls
teams. The U11 '90 Boys lost in the State Cup quarterfinals, and
the U17 Force '84 Blue Girls lost 2-1 in the State Cup Final to eventual
National Champion, Pleasanton Rage. Though, the Force '84 Blue brought
the Force Club its first Surf Cup Championship.
In 2002-3, the club grew
to 13 boys and girls teams. Six out of the seven eligible state cup
teams advanced out of the first round of State Cup. The Force '84 black
girls team won the U19 State Cup. This was the Club's first State
Cup championship. The Force '84 Blue team lost in the U18 State Cup
championship.
For the 2003-2004 season
the Force Club grew to 16 teams, seven boys teams, and nine girls teams.
Nine members of the first Force team, the 84 Force Blue, graduated high
school and were picked to play on NCAA college soccer teams. The Force
'85 Girls team won the CYSA-N State Cup Championship.
In the 2004-2005 season the
club grew to 28 teams, 12 girls and 16 boys. The teams were very successful
at many of the top tournaments around California and the country.
Nine Force alumni
played in the NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament, one played for
Notre Dame, the 2004 NCAA Division I National Champions.
For the 2005-2006 season,
we currently have 35 teams (20 boys and 15 girls teams). We expect
an outstanding year for all our teams.
