  • Player: Lindsay Dickerson
  • College: Stanford University (click for schedule)
  • High School: St. Francis
  • Accomplishments:

High School – Lindsay has been a starter at St. Francis since she was a freshman. She helped lead St. Francis to the CCS Division 1 championship last winter. Lindsay has been a three-time 1st Team All League selection in the WCAL and was WCAL Freshman of the Year, Sophomore of the Year, and Junior of the Year in successive seasons. She was also named CCS Freshman of the Year and Junior of the Year by the San Jose Mercury News, and was an All CCS 1st Team Selection by the Mercury News as a junior.

Team Accomplishments – Force 90G has been a State Cup semifinalist in three consecutive years: 2006, 2007, and 2008. Force 90G has also consistently attended top tournaments including Surf Cup three of the past four years (Quarterfinalist – 2005), Texas Shootout, Blues Cup (Finalist – 2004), Rage College Showcase, and the Mustang Stampede.

Individual Accomplishments – Lindsay has been in the US Soccer national team age group pool at U15, U16, and U17, and has played in matches against US national teams in other age groups and the German U16/U17 WNT. She has also been on the Region IV ODP team from 2005 – 2008, including a trip to Costa Rica where she led the team to a 1-1 draw with the full Costa Rican WNT. And she was on the Cal-North State ODP team from 2005 – 2008, including playing up an age with the 1990 State ODP team in the finals of the Region IV ODP championships.

Coaching – “Because goalkeepers need specialized training, I have a massive list of coaches I need to thank. I met Don Williams when I was 11 and his training has helped me become the goalkeeper I am today. When I’m doing something wrong, I go to Don to fix it, and he has become like a second dad to me. Bob Joyce has helped me become a more explosive goalkeeper—nothing improves power dives better than plyometrics and gymnastic pads. I’ve also received great coaching on ODP and national teams.

“I’ve been lucky to have three great head coaches: Roxanna Dunn who sparked my early passion for the game and showed me how hard work leads to success; Dawn Hill, who has been great on my high school team; and my current club coach, Adrianne Fass, who has taught me that there are countless ways to do fitness and that a winning team is built on respect and commitment. Finally, I’d like to thank my dad, Francis, for the time he has put into understanding my position, driving me to training, managing my teams, and always thinking of ways he can help me get better.”

College Plans – “I can’t wait to play at Stanford next year for Coach Paul Ratcliffe. I’m especially excited about working with goalkeeper coach Jay Cooney, who helped former Stanford goalkeeper Nicole Barnhart become one of the two goalkeepers that traveled to China for the Olympics.”

Force Experience – “My experience with the Force club has helped me tremendously in reaching my goal to play at a top-level college. The coaching outstanding and the high-level tournaments we travel to have not only given me college exposure, but have also matched our team against the best competition in the country—bringing us together and helping us to improve. Some of my best friends are my teammates because we go through so much together. I would not be the player or person that I am without the invaluable support of my Force teammates.”
